| Customized Star Diameters |

The fiber projection technology makes it possible to customize the star brightnesses of every individual projection machine by varying the star diameters. This is of practical importance in view of the different dome diameters. The stars to be projected in larger domes should have somewhat greater diameters so as to appear brighter. Where highest brilliance and realistic appearance are the prime concern, diameters should be smaller, which means a slightly reduced brightness. Carl Zeiss will always specify optimum standard parameters and make recommendations for their variation depending on dome diameters and reflectances. | |
