精確なマニュアルフォーカス

DeClick(デクリック)機能

Loxiaレンズが提供するまったく新しい機能の一つに、同梱のツールとバヨネット面にある調整ねじを使い、絞りリングのクリックを外す（DeClickする）オプションがあります。このデクリック機能により、動画撮影時には撮影者の意思によってカメラの絞りをスムーズに操作でき、クリックが効いている場合に発生する不自然な段階的な露出を避けることが出来ます。

実質ディストーションのない光学系

    本来はミラーボックスが原因となり（後方レンズ要素とフィルムの表面は焦点距離を大きく上回らならなくてはならないため）焦点距離が短く、長い後方焦点距離を必要とするSLRカメラのために開発されたＤｉｓｔａｇｏｎレンズ（レトロフォーカスデザイン）ですが、その最適化されたレイパスがミラーレスカメラにとっても理想的なものになっています。Ｄｉｓｔａｇｏｎの高性能光学設計は、長い焦点距離でも画像の隅々まで良質な修正を可能にし、フィールドの歪曲を最低限にとどめます。

    Biogon®.の名前は、写真家の周囲のできるだけ多く範囲をワンショットで捉えることができるような非常に大きなフィールドアングルをもったレンズ、ということから生まれました。Ｂｉｏｇｏｎのほぼ対称的なレンズ設計は、非常にコンパクトで、レンジファインダーからミラーレスシステムのカメラを含めた一般的広角から超広角までのレンズの使用を可能にしています。レンズは非常にすぐれた歪曲収差および色収差、フラットフィールドの補正機能を有します。

    Sonnarは、1930年にZEISSでルードビッヒ・ベルテレ博士が開発したレンズと空気の臨界表面が比較的少ないものでした。当時、1:1.5という大きな絞りと効率的な迷光低減のおかげで高いコントラストが可能であったため、35ミリカメラ用のレンズとしては、最もハイスピードなレンズのひとつでした。ハイスピードとハイコントラストのこのレンズは 最大の明るさを象徴する太陽にちなんで名づけられました。 前述の長所は、現代のレンズではこのベーシックタイプに基づく光学設計を施した通常および望遠レンジでも備えています。
